Comments:
Is this Grant's the same as old Mrs Grant the baker? Always smiling, always floury, she had a bad hip and used to pull herself along by holding on to the counter. I remember the delicious smell of baking in her shop in the 1940s.

Does anyone have any photos of Hughie Graham's sweet shop just passed the St Duthus? I used to visit as a teenager in Tain Royal Academy - very much appreciated. Ii think he had a daughter Elspeth Graham.

I'd hazard a guess that this may have been pre 1897 - on account of the Cadbury's advertising in the window. The advertising focus of Cadbury changed dramatically that year following the introduction of the milk chocolate bar, moving away from cocoa, and it wasn't until the introduction of Bournville cocoa in 1906 that it came to the forefront again.
