"Davie Gogie"

This post card is postmarked "Edinburgh Oct 4(?) 06" and is addressed to "Miss Munro, Rockfield, Fearn, Ross-shire" and is signed "Yrs, Netty".
"Davie Gogie" was a recluse who took to living in Calrossie Woods after being witness to a murder. He was later moved to Easter Ross Union Poor House (Arthurville).

Davie did go to arthurville ,his stay was very short? Possibly weeks only to return to calrossie woods. Alister Ross the post ,sadly passed away, knew a lot about Davie and he told me stories about Davie
