From the left, Jim McKenzie who was the accountant in the tailor's shop and later worked as accountant in MacRae and Dick's Garage for many years. He was an uncle of Jimmy "Light". Next person is not known. Third is Mr Dawson who was the owner. Next to him are my grandparents, Robert and Margaret Collie. My grandfather took over the shop from Mr Dawson. Next to Margaret is "Big Heck" McKenzie, father of Bunty and grandfather of Karl Fialka. Next is Bobback? - Lily MacKenzie's father and then Davy Ross, husband of Katy Ross who worked in the shop and later did dressmaking from her home in Geanies Street. Last in the line is Rossie?
In front are the apprentices and Rory "Toe" - The Town Crier of Tain and a familiar street newsvendor. He earned his nickname from his large outsize feet. Perhaps he had a club foot. The name of the man beside Rory "Toe" is not known
