This man was our great grandfather and his granddaughter is still alive, she is Edith Sutherland Iversen, born Urquhart.
Any information about the family appreciated. There was a sister Anne or Annie, we cant trace any info about her.
Please contact us, we plan to visit Scotland later this year. We have located a tombstone and know that the Smithy was demolished. Regards Elma Iversen

The last Urquharts who owned the smiddy and lived in the house next door, Appitauld, were Charles & Jane (known to everyone as Charlie & Jean). They were my great uncle and aunt and they died in the late 1980's. They are buried nearby at Kilmuir Easter churchyard along with Charlie's parents. His brother, John Urquhart, (known as Jack) was my grandfather and is buried, along with his wife, Mabel, at a Logie Easter Cemetery

My Parents bought Appitauld back in the 80's, it was my wonderful childhood home, it's great to get a bit of history on the property and its outbuildings.

Hi all,

I am the 3x great grand daughter to William's dad Hugh. William's brother, Hugh (ex-master gunner from Dingwall married to Margaret Rosevear), is my 2x great grand dad. I have family information if anyone is still looking.

Also, I am making a trip to Scotland in May and plan to go by this property. If anyone can get me in touch with the current owners I would love to be able to go and see it.
