Belle-Anne MacAngus, mother of Dolly Macdonald, is seen here holding 6 speldings threaded on a spit through the "ears" over a barrel of brine.
She is said to have been a Gaelic scholar.

Her daughter Dolly McDonald is living in Hilton of Cadboll, age 93 and has a great memory and is very proud of her heritage.
