Branch of Calrossie.
Thomas Ross ultimately 1st of Calrossie, was the fourth son of Wm. Ross 1st of Kindeace by his first wife Catherine Corbat. In 1665 styled "in Knockan" Obtained these lands and others in 1695 by Charter or Great Seal the lands of Easter and Wester Letters in 1708 and by Disposition from Mr David Polson.
