The man with this fine team of horses is William Ross of Moor Farm. He was the winner in the Harness Class at the ploughing match held at North Glastullich in 1936. His was one of 70 pairs of horses on the field. William was the uncle of Alistair ("the Post") Ross who lived at Balanloch, Scotsburn Road, Tain, until his death in 2012.

    The man with the fine looking team holding the shafts of the plough is John Ross, father of Alistair Ross the Post. The man standing beside John Ross is his brother William Ross of Moor Farm, my father.

    Do you know if Captain Robert Ross of Moor Farm is an ancestor of William and John Ross? I think he lived at Moor Farm at around 1915?
