    Andrew Mackenzie

When this bridge was demolished my Dad (David Mackenzie, Accountant Bonar Bridge) salvaged some of the huge granite blocks (most of which were being dumped or simply pushed into the river) and used them to build a large wall at the back of our house: Craigvar, on Dornoch Road. My brother John now lives there and those blocks aren't going anywhere fast!
