Bertie was my uncle and would always see him and my Auntie Heather on visits to Tain. Last talked to him at my Aunties Funeral in Tain some 15+ years ago. A character for sure and I understand very upset at having to leave the then GPO and went to work for Glenmorangie Distillery.

Richard, dad actually went on to work at Balblair distillery for a time after leaving the post office. Dad was very proud to recieve a medal from Buckingham palace for his long service with the GPO.

Looking for information about Hugh (Ross) Grant, the retired postman in the above photo and his wife Christina Ross and her family. They lived at 4 Victoria Terrace, Tain - both passed away in 1970.
