Photo Description

Taken in about 1941 during a Home Guard exercise in Tain, in which an enemy intruder disguised as a mother with pram attempted to pass a checkpoint. When challenged the intruder pulled a gun from the pram and opened fire but was himself shot. The intruder was A Redvers Halliday, surgical chiropodist, denture maker and Boys' Brigade leader.
