Photo Description
The photograph shows an interior view of Aldie Mills in October 1963. The sacks are full of grain. The mill was the last water-powered meal mill to operate in the Tain area. It closed in the 1960's. After being restored to working condition, it was re-opened as a tourist attraction in 1996. More recently it has been developed as a private dwelling, although the water wheel is still in position.
