Opening Times — 2026 Season

Tain & District Museum & Clan Ross Centre is open from 1 April until the end of October, from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm.

If you are travelling from further afield or hope to visit outside our normal season or opening hours, please get in touch — we will always try to accommodate where possible.

 
Admission

Entry to the museum and Pilgrimage Gallery is free, but we warmly invite visitors to make a donation. Your support helps us care for our collections and keep the museum open and accessible to everyone.

 
Research Visits and Enquiries

We welcome researchers and those exploring local or Clan Ross history. If you plan to visit for research, please contact us at least one week in advance so that a volunteer can prepare relevant material.

If you cannot visit in person, you are welcome to email or write to us with details of your enquiry. An initial search of our collections is carried out free of charge; more detailed research undertaken on your behalf may incur a small fee.
