Group admissions - If you plan to visit with a party of 10 or more, please contact us for details of group rates. Groups of up to 12 can be accommodated.
Research visits and enquiries If you are planning to visit for the purpose of research, please contact us at least a week before you come. One of our volunteers will assist you in locating relevant material. If you are unable to visit in person, please write in or email us with details of your enquiry. We will make an initial search for material free of charge, but a fee is payable for any further research undertaken by us on your behalf.

Getting to Tain
Tain is to be found on the southern shore of the Dornoch Firth in Easter Ross. It is situated beside the A9, 35 miles north of Inverness. Tain Through Time is located in the centre of Tain; behind the Tolbooth, opposite the Royal Hotel.
By Car: Tain Through Time is signposted from the Tain by-pass. Driving directions can be produced using the map at the foot of this page.
By Bus: Tain is served by bus operator: Stagecoach By Train: Tain Through Time is a short walk from the train station. Scotrail provides details of the latest timetable for the North Highland line.
By Ferry: The Cromarty Ferry runs between 1st June and 30th September. By Air: Inverness Airport serves the Highlands for air travellers.
